OVERVIEW
The Plastic Surgeon role is in charge of treating patients regarding their surgical procedures, but you should also have in-depth knowledge of the procedures and products that are offered by other members of our team, such as the Esthetician and RN. Making the patients feel comfortable is of the utmost importance, along with educating them about the products and procedures that you are recommending. This way, you can develop a collaborative treatment plan that everyone understands and benefits from. If there is a procedure that the patient would benefit from that you do not perform, it is your responsibility to refer them to the proper practitioner.
SCOPE
This is a profit-sharing position that reports directly to the Practice Director.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Check email & Trello, as applicable, at the beginning and end of each shift
- Check patients in and out, create invoices, and take payment for their services
- Keep the space clean
- Turn over rooms as soon as patients leave, change out linens, put out gowns, and clean counters if necessary
- Keep clean towels and gowns stocked
- Know all office promotions
- Make sure to ask patients at check-out how they are doing with their skin care products
- Point out the Google Review QR code to patients as they check out
- Educate our patients on our referral program
- Invite patients to join our Membership plan
- Participate in community events, as applicable
- Execute side-work tasks or ongoing projects during downtime
JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)
- Consult and educate patients regarding potential procedures
- Perform procedures within current treatment standards
- Address patient concerns post-procedure
- Encourage applicable patients to continue to the next lifecycle service option post-procedure
- Keep up on the newest evolutions of treatments and products
- Maintain HIPAA compliance
- Maintain board certification
- Stay on top of CE hours
- Attend one relevant conference per year
- Introduce yourself to locally relevant businesses with business cards
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Education:
- Complete 4 years of medical school
- Complete an accredited PS residency program
Experience:
- Board certification
- Medical license
- Certified by the Board of Plastic Surgery
