Breast Revision in Walnut Creek

Our mission - We are here to treat YOU

Fortunately, breast surgery, when performed by a well-trained, board-certified plastic surgeon, has a low incidence of severe complications. However, it is the fine details of surgery, such as the scar placement, implant position, and symmetry which only the most artistic of surgeons are able to master.

It is very unusual for our own patients to require revisional breast surgery, but we do perform surgery on other patients who have had procedures performed elsewhere, and now desire correction. The cost of this surgery varies depending on what needs to be done.

Your best chance of obtaining a “perfect” result is during your first surgery. All subsequent surgeries, if needed, become more difficult because of the scar tissue that forms after surgery. Call to learn more about breast revision surgery in Walnut Creek.

TYPES OF INCISIONS

There are several techniques we use to perform a breast reduction:

  1. The ‘“anchor” incision: used in patients with significant ptosis (droopiness) to their breast, the incision goes around the nipple, straight down, and then follows under the crease of the breast.

  2. The “lollipop” incision: for moderate levels of ptosis, the scar goes around the nipple, then straight down to the crease of the breast.

PROCEDURE

Breast reduction takes approximately 3.5 hours. You go home the same day.
